Positive: This is a stunning property steeped in history and in a perfect location to easily explore the beauty of Bergamo and the exceptional hills north of the old town. Everything is easily accessible walking straight from the apartment. Museums, art galleries galore if that is what you like. Views everywhere are stunning and at all hours. Our host could not have done any more to make us feel welcome and provided us with fantastic communication before our stay. She offered us excellent recommendations of local places to visit and eat. We had problems with times of flights and she understood and helped resolve our problems positively and calmly. A perfect host. The guides she provided included an excellent walking map with 10 circular hikes in the area. We did most of these and therefore didn't make use of the excellent transport which was easily available minutes away from the apartment. Parts of the old town get very popular but it is very easy to walk 100 metres away and find peace and quiet. The apartment is on the second floor and was great for the two of us. Everything we needed for cooking was in the kitchen, small supermarket at the end of the road and amazing baker opening at 7 each morning for fresh treats. Nights were really quiet especially after the traditional curfew bells tolled! Loads of great places to eat and of course have delicious ice cream. Couldn't be better.

Negative: Having to leave was hard ..but we hope to return one day!

Positive: Loved the old building full of character. The location is perfect. Our host was wonderful and there was plenty of information in the apartment about things to do. The apartment was very well appointed and there is a small supermarket just steps away.

Negative: Nothing.
