Positive: Great food at the cafe and fantastic staff, very calm and natural vibe. The restaurant does close at 7pm though which caught us out, but it is a camp/glamp area so not an issue. Great pod (sycamore), very clean and new facilities, both kitchen and bathroom. Does exactly what it needs to, and more.

Negative: The property gets very warm very quickly, which is good, but airing it out is a bit of a struggle as leaving the window or door open at night isn't ideal (not least due to bugs wanting in). Otherwise, the bed could use a firmer mattress to help with quality of sleep.

Summary: Brilliant time overall. Do recommend.

Negative: We didnt get told the cafe/bar was closed early on a Sunday...we came for tea and everything was closed so had to order a takeaway which we didnt really want to do while away, but that was all everything else was brilliant from the cabin to the food 👍🏼

Positive: Cosy, warm and by nature. Had a kitchen with a microwave and fridge, could do with a small oven :)

Negative: The gate went down after 8pm and we couldn’t get to the cabin for nearly an hour as the gate is manually set off to get in by staff. We weren’t informed of a time limit to go to the cabin

Positive: Lovely location with beautiful surroundings. Nice amenities in the pod, it was great having our own bathroom. Staff were friendly. The bar area was a great addition.

Negative: I feel it was missing a few finishing touches, especially when it’s stating it’s a luxury pod. There were wires on the bedroom wall where a TV should be. No bath mat for when you get out of the shower. No linen was provided for the quilt on the sofa bed (I emailed ahead to ask if I needed to bring my own but never got a response.) We did find a linen cover in the cupboard, however it had a blood stain on it, so didn’t use it. A little bit better communication before the stay would have been ideal.

Summary: Lovely pod with beautiful surroundings. Missing some luxury finishing touches.

Positive: Surroundings were pleasant, good facilities for a bit of fishing. Friendly staff ( mainly ) and a good atmosphere by the bar with space for children to play.

Negative: Prices at the bar a little expensive, quality and value of the food available, we paid £15 for a 9" pizza that wasn't particularly good, and £6.50 for salt and pepper chips that had no flavour at all. Luxury pod wasn't particularly clean, and the bedding even less so. Bedsheets hadn't been changed, full of stains and body hair presumably from previous guests ( possibly also a pet ) Brought to the attention of owner who was 'angry' at his cleaning staff but offered no apology for the poor cleanliness of the linen.
