Summary: Very cool cabin, plenty of room. Next to all sorts of good nature stuff.

Summary: When we first arrived the property looked fine. Once we were inside we did notice lights flickering, and an inordinate amount of bugs. The flickering lights led us to leave many of them off most of the time. The advertised grill was inoperable and extremely dirty. Were were unable to use it even though that was a selling point for the property. The kitchen sink faucet had terrible water pressure for the first few days and stopped working all together on our last night. When we contacted the owner, his suggestions were to have us do the repairs. On a vacation is not typically where i am wanting to do maintenance on someone else's property. Overall we were extremely disappointed for the price we paid. I know there are not many rentals are available around this area, so the bar is low, but we have stayed in a number of cabins and this one needs work. Not to mention the fact we do not expect to do repairs on the property we rent.

Summary: The place was perfect size and great location. We made beautiful memories. We even had a visitor from a wild turkey. The manager was super easy to work with. We are very familiar with the area since some of our family live in Rustic, Colorado. The house itself was clean but we were surprised to find the surrounding area heavily infested with bugs. Overall, the experience was just what we needed.

Summary: This house is wonderful and the location is beautiful. The property owner / host however is rude, unhelpful, and conniving. Upon arrival there is only a single lockbox (real estate style). We were have trouble working the release mechanism on the lockbox (the reset code button was sticking way down in the inset hole and not releasing) - contacted the host for advice and he effectively told me “if you all are too dumb to work a lockbox nothing I can’t help you with”. Water pressure was extremely low making washing dishes or using the dishwasher nearly impossible. We called the host to tell him that and he indicated that this time of year the well water is low and nothing he can do about it. I told him it would make doing the dishes difficult- “oh I don’t care” was his response. We spent the last day of our vacation cleaning the house and heating up pots of water painstaking gathered slowly from the trickle of water on the stove so we could clean the dishes. The owner then had the audacity to charge and additional cleaning fee after - and I’m telling you this house was not messy or dirty. Reading reviews (which unfortunately I didn’t before hand ) - that is exactly this owners MO. We will be fighting the additional charge to the end of our days and I hope future guests read these reviews.
