Summary: Jim was a fantastic host. The property was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for. We spent hours by the fire and even caught a few small fish in the river. I would recommend this property to any nature lover looking for a quiet getaway.

Summary: This cabin is beautifully updated and generously stocked with games (indoor and outdoor) and supplies. With 3 bathrooms, our family of 8, 6 adults and two children, had zero wait time, which is important:) Jim, the owner, was kind and responsive. He supplied us with tubes to float down the river and mailed us medications that got left. He and Stephanie took time to give us tips for our kayaking trip and made sure the washer was functioning. The deck is huge and overlooks the Little Muskegon River. So beautiful. There is a gas grill that we were able to make steaks, burgers and hot dogs on. The only suggested improvement might be the yard area. It is definitely rustic with a good bit of debris. Dont walk barefooted. The river by the cabin is fast and deep. It was a fun spot to fish, but not the best for swimming. In fact, my 6 year old grandson caught his very first fish there! There are several lovely swimming beaches and parks close by. We ate virtually every meal at the cabin which was made easy by the large island and well stocked utensils. Counter space was so appreciated. As was the ice maker and water dispenser in the refrigerator. By the way, the water was decent tasting. We took bottled water, but didn't need to drink it there. We've been renting vrbo cabins for family vacations for the past 8 years and this was one of the nicest that we've had the good fortune to visit.

Summary: Took a group of 9 men to go canoeing . The house was perfect , private and great place to hang out . We played for corn hole , fished and had a fire both nights . Perfect getaway

Summary: My family and I attended a wedding in the area and I rented this home so we could all be together. We had pets and needed a pet friendly home. We hit the jackpot with James' home. Not only was he very responsive and accommodating, his home was immaculately clean, the kitchen was so well appointed I could have left all the items I usually travel with at home. Everything you could ever need was provided. I loved our stay and would most definitely stay here again!! Thank you again James for sharing your home with us!!!
