As its name and address would suggest, Pine Haven is tucked away in a quiet stand of pines on the eastern shore of Smith Mountain Lake and is awaiting your arrival! This custom lakefront home completed in 2017 still feels and looks like new and would be a candidate for anyone’s “A” list of top vacation destinations.
This spacious home boasts four beautifully furnished and well-appointed bedrooms, three and a half baths, a vaulted ceiling great room with stone fireplace and Sony flat screen TV, lighted curio cabinets, hickory flooring and knotty alder doors, premium granite top kitchen with the finest JennAir appliances, separate dining and breakfast areas overlooking the lake, and a walk-out gathering room with brand new sectional sofa, Sony 4K TV and kitchenette.
Whew! Take a breath and read on. There is a composite deck (no nails or splinters!) with retractable awning, an inground salt water pool (summer uae only), large paver patio, eight person hot tub, stone fire pit with composite Adirondack chairs, a gas Weber grill on the deck, Sonos surround sound throughout the living and outdoor areas, and a covered deep water dock to serve as a launch pad for all your water activities. There is ample paved parking for multiple vehicles and even a back-up whole house generator in the unlikely event power is lost during your stay. Internet and cable TV are included at no added cost.
Pine Haven is located in a quiet cove behind one of our favorite lakeside stops, Mitchell’s Point Marina where, in the warmer months you can rent the watercraft or water toys of your choice, enjoy mouth watering outdoor dining and live music at Mitchell’s Restaurant and Pizzeria, and cheat on your diet at the home dipped ice cream hut out front. The view from the home and dock is mostly of the large surrounding cove and community but, if you look above the tree tops, you’ll also catch the peak of the lake’s namesake, Smith Mountain.
If you’re new to Smith Mountain Lake, you’ll be swept away by the quality of life here. SML, as its known locally, is considered one of the top 10 fresh water lakes in the country and offers limitless boating and water based recreational activities. There are nearly two dozen marinas, a dozen lakeside restaurants, and enough open water to accommodate everything from slalom skiers to poker runs and professional fishing tournaments. Did we mention that it has 500 miles of shoreline?
The water is clean and weed-free and bugs are practically non-existent. Mosquitoes are on the endangered species list (not really, but you get the point.)

Summary: Beautiful, spacious, welcoming - just a few superlatives describing our wonderful trip and stay at Dennis and Mary Ann’s home at Smith Mountain Lake. This is the second year that my family and I have stayed here over Memorial Day to celebrate birthdays and the beginning of summer. From the hot tub to the fire pit to the amazing pool, all the kids and family members had a fantastic time. It's on a quiet cove right on the lake with beautiful views. We rented a boat and enjoyed the lake and scenery of the mountains. I highly recommend this home for your next getaway. It had plenty of room for my family with an open kitchen and different areas for gathering. We are creating wonderful memories and look forward to returning next year. Thank you!

Summary: Rented this place for the weekend to celebrate a birthday. Great spot to get together with friends. House and stay were great. Only thing I have to say is that the cleaning / check out process was a little unreasonable.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay! The lakefront view was stunning and provided the perfect peaceful backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The quiet neighborhood made it easy to unwind, and we especially enjoyed ending our evenings in the hot tub under the stars or gathered around the fire pit. Summary: The house is beautiful, with plenty of space for everyone. Beds were all very comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked with appliances. Great views and lake access and the teens enjoyed the fire pit--nice to have plenty of firewood at the house and smore sticks available. Nearest grocery store is about a 20 minute drive, but there was a corner store, White House Store, which had the basics only about 10 minutes. Definitely recommend, hosts were very helpful.

Summary: Had a wonderful family vacation at Smith Mountain Lake. The lake house was awesome. The house had everything available that we needed. We swam in the pool, relaxed in the hot tub, went kayaking and rented a boat to explore the lake and go tubing. We also went fishing. The boat rental was very convenient as the marina was just across the cove from the house. The house was absolutely beautiful and the host promptly answered all of our questions. 5 stars out of 5

Summary: You can’t beat the view with a large tranquil cove off SML and that gorgeous salt water pool. Coffee on the upper deck in the morning was awesome. Our family had a nice time and made many happy memories.

Summary: This home is absolutely magnificent. It is right on the waterfront with a beautiful private dock equipped with two double seater kayaks and plenty of life preservers. We were able to fish and swim off of the dock. Fish were caught to the kids delight. The water is very clean. It also includes and salt water pool and a large hot tub that we all enjoyed, Our last night we set up a glow stick pool party with a fire. S'mores were of course the main attraction. During the week there was hiking with observing the many deer residents that seemed comfortable with our presence. A dinner out with karaoke, putt-putt, bungee jumping and delicious adult beverages. The kitchen is set up for entertaining. There is enough room in the home to also seek solitude if need be. We are excited to make more heart felt memories soon at this location. Dennis and MaryAnn were definitely a big plus to work with, They responded quickly to any questions that popped up.

Summary: This property was the perfect spot for our family to celebrate our parents 50th wedding anniversary. We had the opportunity to get everyone together and celebrate together. The property had an amazing view of the lake, a great spot to swim and the kids loved the pool. The owners were extremely accommodating and helped us when we had questions and needed recommendations. This property is perfect for a nice getaway on a beautiful lake. Visiting this lake was a first for all of us. You cannot go wrong with this property!
