Travel Purpose: business

Positive: Beautiful gardens and access to forest. We liked the location for a quiet stay in the heart of Provence.

Negative: There were many maintenance problems with the facilities. The house wasn't ready for rental as advertised, with a dirty swimming pool we could not use, problems with odors, a clogged kitchen sink and leaking dishwasher, and on the last night we had no hot water for showers or cleaning dishes. When we arrived there were no sponges or paper towels for cleaning the kitchen and no soap in the bathrooms. When we asked the manager to provide these items, they told us it was typical for short term renters in France to bring their own cleaning supplies for the kitchen and soap for the bath. That is not our experience as frequent travelers and as rental hosts ourselves. They did provide the supplies, but the swimming pool and other maintenance problems were not fixed during our stay. We were told that the owners would refund part of the rent because of the swimming pool, but as of this review, we have received no refund or notice from Booking about a refund.

Summary: This could be a great rental if the property was property maintained and equipped, but it wasn't.
