Tukaka Garden View is a spacious, clean, modern and, well maintained home. It has all the mod cons, ceiling fans, TV, internet, BBQ and fully fenced and safe with swimming pool and sheltered deck. We don't have an ocean view but are set in a large and beautiful garden which is totally private and set back well off the road. It is only a 5 minute drive (3km) to the very popular Muri Beach. Air Conditioning is available on request for an extra $40 per day.

Summary: We frequent back to our island as much as possible … if we can stay at our family homestead if not rented or not over crewed we often stay at different accommodations to really do our thing on our own time! Mike & Rachel’s inland house was perfect, well equipped home, mod cons and 100% conveniently situated! Kapps & Vili’s at your front door .. muri is the next village down and town the opposite direction … we cannot fault this place! Perfect stay for 2 couples over these 15 days here! Meitaki maata :)

Summary: From our initial enquiry to the day we arrived, Rachel made it easy, answering all our questions (it was our 1st time in Raro) which was perfect. Turns out the location for us was just the right mix between being away from resorts, but close enough to Muri being the hub of action. 50m (literally) is the best coffee and croissants - if you are up early enough. A steady 30 min walk to Muri or 7-8 mins on the bus gave us options to get there. The property was clean, lots of room to move. Even the local roosters and dogs are friendly. A burger/pizza place is 2 min walk away, as is a small store for your basic needs. Would recommend this place to all - can easily accommodate a family & give everyone space to move. Loved it!

Summary: This was perfect, the house is beautiful, it has everything you need to either stay at home for a BBQ or have friends around for a dinner. It's private...coffee and shop is a 2 minute walk, beach across the road. Muri is a couple of minutes away in car / scooter. I would rebook this house everytime - Thanks

Summary: 5 days was all we needed for complete rest and relaxation. Rachel was so lovely to communicate with, and everything is as the pictures and other comments say .. a lovely place to stay, the swimming pool and outdoor area is AWESOME, the home is immaculate, great location to town, the best beaches and the night market in Muri .. coffee, fresh croissants & fresh fruit across the road was fabulous, .. the petrol station and shops (turn right) was the best … the outside showers were a bonus, board games and the outside showers were the best and my all time favourite having fresh tuna (sashimi) almost every day was heaven .. the list goes on. We didn’t get to say goodbye to Diane, she was so lovely to chat with and had some great tips.. she was gorgeous and golden brown .. and I’m happy to say my return home has everyone jealous of my golden brown tan 🌺. No regrets in booking, and have already sent the link to friends and family. Ia manuia

Summary: Meitaki Rachel and Mike, this piece of paradise was perfect for our holiday. Beautiful spacious home and a lush garden that we loved. The pool was a bonus! Not too far from the main city strip and 5 minutes from Muri. Your home is a perfect balance of modern living in a tropical environment. A home away from home, but with beautiful island weather and surrounding views of the mountains behind the property and the garden you can't help but want to spend more at the house. We loved our stay, and I highly recommend this property. We were a family of 5 ranging from 6 to 74 years old and we all loved this house. Meitaki.

Summary: My husband and I stayed for a week. This house is well appointed and lovely and clean. The starter pack of essentials (milk, bread, butter & more) was well appreciated as we arrived in after dark. Whilst there is no swimming beach across the road you are only 2kms from Muri and you have your own private pool. We thought being gated would be a pain but the garden is lovely and we had no strays. I will highly recommend this property to people of all ages and families and hope to stay again. Thanks for helping make our holiday wonderful.

Summary: We had the best stay ever the home was exactly like the photos. It was private and the pool was amazing . We had the best time ever we didn’t hire a car and used the buses and that saved us alot of money! It’s funny in our normal lives we wouldn’t dream of being without a car but we decided if we are going to Rarotonga we need to slow down and enjoy the island which we did. By having no car it made the trip more enjoyable. We walked a few k’s everyday and then caught the bus home after enjoying the local shops and resorts for dinner and a drink. We had a few days sun which was amazing and some massive stormy days which was all part of the experience of Rarotonga ! Rachel was so helpful and lovely and we thank her and Mike from the bottom of my heart for helping us when we got stuck there for another day cause of the storm ! ( being stuck one more day was actually like heaven !! ) so thanks Rachel and Mike for opening your family home to us! We also would like to say what an amazing guy Chris was he was lovely he helps with maintenance and came over and we spent alot of time talking with him! He really touched mine and my partners hearts he was so nice and helpful so yeah just lovely people would def go back there!

Summary: Great communication (even halfway around the world) Sparkling clean pool! Absolutely gorgeous grounds. Great welcome package including fresh fruit, fresh flowers. Bread, butter, jam, milk Everything you could ever need is in the villa (aside from shampoo) There was even laundry soap for the washing machine. Beds are comfy, linens clean & plentiful. DVD player & movies to unwind at the end of the day were a lovely find. Tukaka was nothing less than spectacular. Thank you for allowing us to rent such an incredible villa!!!
