Positive: Loved my room, clean and so comfortable, with everything I needed, including a fridge and a microwave. Great location on Main Street! Great value!

Negative: The sign above the front door (which is in a dimly lit alcove) does not say Beacon Hotel, I think it said something like Beacon Apartments? So I asked the tenant on the 1st floor if I was in the right place and they weren’t sure. Once I put my door code in the front door, it was a little tricky to find my way to my room: up the staircase, take a left, put the front door code in another door, get through that, and look for the signs to tell you to go up the stairs or down the stairs or straight ahead, then through another door, then found my door to my room. There’s no staff there to greet and reassure you that you were in the right place, so just be prepared to need a little extra time to find your way …. and it’s better to arrive in daylight.

Summary: Great value in great location with lovely rooms; just be prepared for a little adventure finding your room.

Positive: The room was clean and nicely decorated. There was an iron, ironing board, hair dryer, coffee maker, toaster oven, kitchen supplies, tv, electric fireplace, table and stools. Plenty of outlets.

Negative: The entrance and routing to your room is a bit off putting.

Positive: The location was incredible, the value was good, and all of the check-in process was very easy.

Negative: If there had been any issues with the check-in process or room in general it would have been difficult to get it resolved since there were no staff.

Positive: Mr. John is an excellent representative of the Beacon community and it was nice to stay in a space owned by a community member. there are still some renovations coming to the space but it is a welcomed addition to the quaint mainstream feel of the area.

Negative: It is a renovated building so disability access is limited.

Summary: I wish I was in town a little longer it would have been nice to stay a couple more days

Positive: Great location and easy to access.

Negative: The entrance is super gross, it smells like cigarette smoke and weed and piss. When you enter into the hotel, it’s better. However, my room smelled like food. I think there’s a vent attached that connects to a kitchen because the smell was overwhelming.

Summary: Wouldn’t go back. Didn’t feel super safe as a solo traveler. The only good thing about it was the location.
