Positive: The appartment was very big, very clean, very cosy. With a quiet surrounding. Some 100m from the public beach ( but better fantastic beach for snorkeling and for children too is bit further - approximately 500m to the left “around the corner” of the bay). Blue Bay itself is very quiet place - without overtourism - so for people searching this kind of vacation. The nearest supermarket is accesible almost only by car ( in the village we found only one small store - not very well supplied) - but we had local guide for trips around the Island - so when we went back from the trip, we everytime bought the supplies to cook meal, in the supermarket. When you plan to rent a car - no problem, or there is some taxi avaiable nearby. The owners of the appartment are super nice people - gave us home cooked meal ( very delicious) for the first evening and some supplies and also took us by car to the supermarket to buy some food for the first days. They live in another town- so other days you have to take care about that yourself. As we came from Europe with small children, we were a bit suspicious about the hygienic standards in Mauritius - but they are good, and in this appartment and owners supergood ( any diarrhea, any stomachache during whole stay - and we ate also streetfood). Don’t have to worry. The owners recommended us not to drink tap water - so we didn’t, but i washed some dishes and my toothbrush in it and no problem. The bay itself - perfect for snorkeling and children - some 300-400m from the shore , where the depth is around 1-2m is full of corals and tropical fish, any sharks ( they would scratch their belly if they would try to go over the barrier of corals 😊), currents where we were were relatively weak ( except one place on coco Island - there is very strong). Waves almost any. In blue bay there is also diving center - so possibility to go to the deep sea is there also.

Positive: A perfect slice of paradise at Beach Hive Villa. We had an unforgettable stay at Beach Hive Villa in Mauritius. From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. The host was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond—surprising us with a delicious vegetarian meal on our first night, which was such a thoughtful touch after a long journey. The villa itself was spotless and beautifully maintained, just 30 seconds from the beach—yes, I timed it! Waking up to the sound of the waves and being able to stroll down for a morning swim was pure bliss. The villa had absolutely everything you could need and more, with thoughtful extras like a basket of fresh fruit and milk for tea waiting for us on arrival. It’s rare to find such incredible value in such a stunning location. I genuinely wish I had booked a few more nights. This place exceeded all expectations, and I would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, charm, and a touch of Mauritian hospitality.

Positive: Hosts we're brilliant, meeting us in person on check in and check out to handover and collect the keys. They had also been very communicative in the run up to our stay, sharing helpful information over WhatsApp. The villa is stunning and very well appointed, with lots of thoughtful touches: a dart board and games, comfortable seating on the terrace, fresh fruit in the fridge. This would be a perfect place to stay for a family or a group of friends, but it was also great for a couple. You're just over the road from the beach and a ten min drive to the airport. We only regret that we couldn't stay there longer!

Positive: One of the best properties we stayed in Mauritius. Lots of amenities. Great host. Blue Bay is just minutes away. Couple of minor things to note, only one toilet which is inside the bathroom and there's no wardrobes or storage options in 2 of the bedrooms. We enjoyed our stay and the biggest plus was that there was air conditioning in all the rooms and living areas.

Positive: It was a really great holiday. The villa is only 50 metres from Blue Bay beach, which we think is underrated by tourists. It is especially beautiful in the sunny weather. We had 3 bedrooms, a huge kitchen, a lounge with incredibly high ceilings and a terrace with a hanging swing that our daughter loved to ride on. The renovation is modern, fresh and designer. All the appliances, crockery and furniture are new. There is an outside shower. The house also has a sports corner, snorkelling masks, tennis rackets and electronic darts and board games. We have holidayed in 4 villas and apartments in Mauritius and this one has exceeded all expectations. Special thanks also to the villa owners - very nice people. Everything was great and we will try very hard to come back here again.
