The whole place is beautiful and very well maintained, the room was spacious, the shower was great, and breakfast was generous and delicious. Positive: Brian, the host, ensures from the very beginning a fantastic stay at this super-lovely place. He does everything to make you feel at home. Cosy rooms, fantastic food and wine, a small pool — and in good weather you eat in the garden under the grapevines.Last but not least, the location on Île de la Barthelasse just across Avignon is super-central and easy to reach by car. We'll go back.
Negative: There's really nothing to complain about, even for Swiss people who are known to always find a fly in the ointment.
Summary: Brian welcomes you like a friend: cozy rooms, wonderful food and wine under the grapevines.

Positive: I am very sorry to stay in this place for only one day, it was a unique experience to enjoy the kindness and care of the hotel owner! This time, a person is not a hotel guest but his personal guest, the restaurant has excellent home-cooked food with refined taste! While swimming in the pool, the owner picked fresh figs from the tree and served them by the pool! Very authentic room design in the style of an old bastide but with modern conveniences. 100% recommend.

Positive: The Bastide is truly beautiful; from the luxury rooms that are decorated with such detail, very comfy bed, quiet aircon, and great facilities. It is clear every detail has been considered and curated by Brian the wonderful host who made us feel at home straightaway. The pool was a perfect space to relax and the food was exceptional. Breakfasts are the highlight with everything you could possibly want; pastries, omelettes, fresh fruit from the garden, local cheeses & hams…. We ate dinner there on two nights, both of which were delicious and included multiple courses of pure delight. The Bastide is a paradise and we wished we didn’t have to leave, we will miss the generous servings of Provence rose at the end of each gorgeous day.
Summary: Paradise.
