Positive: The house is lovely and big with lots of light. We came with two young toddlers and they really enjoyed the house. The open plan kitchen is great for the whole family and a wonderful long table too. Bathrooms where good and clean and the bath is nice and big. Spoke to Amanda on the phone and met paul on the day both very friendly and welcoming. Very peaceful location.

Positive: Tranquil location near the end of a quiet lane. Fields to one side and a reservoir in the distance which can be seen from upstairs in the property, through the trees in February at least. Very clean spacious house letting in plenty of light. Downstairs toilet plus 2 upstairs toilets, two showers and a bath. Ideal for the 4 of us and with plenty hot water. We mainly stayed in the very practical and sociable living/kitchen/dining room with cosy central heating and wood burner, (there is another nice living room). Very good sized expandable dining table which would comfortably accommodate 8 people. Well equipped kitchen and utility room. Off road parking in the front courtyard/garden for 2 cars or more. Side and rear garden add to the spacious country feel. 3 mins drive from 2 supermarkets and a little more to Cheddar Gorge.

Negative: It would be of benefit to have a sharp vegetable chopping knife in the kitchen. The huge sofa in the big living room was a ‘sink in struggle out’ type of sofa, but not a deal breaker. The beds were a bit soft we but slept well all the same.

Summary: Relaxing, comfortable, peaceful, clean, practical, charming…thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
