Positive: Very nice spacious apartment, with great amenities and a wonderful location. 3 bedrooms, kitchen, 2 toilets and large living room - perfect for family. It is a very compact house with almost all the amenities you can imagine. The apartment complex also has 2 squash courts, a gym and a very nice warm indoor swimming pool (and an outdoor one) which makes it a very appealing place to stay. It also has an underground safe parking place (also free on-road parking). You can see the sunset literally from your drawing room, and that was an amazing experience. Go for a walk along the shore, also quite a few nice restaurants around.

Negative: It was in general good, however, if I were the owner I would pay a little more attention to details. E.g. 1) A few more cutleries and dishes in the kitchen, 2) keeping essential items e.g. hand soap in every toilet; 3) Keeping a gas-lighter or matchbox for the gas 4) A few more dishwasher tabs, washing gels, waste bin bags etc 5) Parking underground bit tricky esp. if you have a larger car.

Positive: Ovar is very nice and close to Porto and other attractions. The apartment was well-equipped located beside the sea with wonderful views and very spacious. The local food was very nice and reasonably priced as were the supermarkets.

Negative: Unfortunately, Ovar can be quite chilly due to the sea breeze, which easily lowers the temperature by 10 degrees. While this might have been specific to the time we visited, we learned from some locals that it's a common occurrence. On a positive note, the apartment itself is spacious, well-equipped, and aesthetically pleasing. However, there is a persistent odor reminiscent of dampness and old ladies' perfume. Additionally, one of the beds in the apartment had broken slats that continuously collapsed during the night, resulting in an uncomfortable sleep experience. Noise from adjacent apartments is easily heard and unfortunately, during our stay, there was construction going on in the apartment below that started promptly every morning at 8 am.
