Positive: Barossa Idyll comfortably accommodated our family group of 8 (4 couples). There was another room available with a Queen size bed which we would have used also, but one couple unfortunately could not come at the last minute. Being a big group and getting ready for a wedding, we appreciated the 4 separate rooms with a bath or shower! The rooms were very clean, big fluffy towels provided, and the beds were comfortable with lovely linen. We didn’t prepare any meals at the property but there was a fully equipped kitchen, large fridge and pantry. Thank you to our host for leaving us a lovely platter of cheese, sausage, pate, bread and wine for our arrival. There were several areas for us to relax inside which were comfortable and the large room had a beautiful view. Easy finding keys and checking out.

Negative: Nothing really. We were only staying for one night and the property suited our purpose perfectly.

Positive: The house is very well stocked and we appreciated all the freebies that the host left us, but we did go groceries shopping , so had more than enough food on hand. The location is very convenient with amazing views at the back but felt very exposed to the main road in front. There were only 4 of us so we didn't make full use of all rooms so was a bit costly in the end. Although very clean, the house is old. Its retro vibe is quaint but would have preferred more modern bathroom/toilet facilities and layout.

Negative: Two bathrooms were on one end of the house while 4 bedrooms were close to only 1 bathroom and separate toilet. Although it was clean, there was an old, musty odour throughout the house.

Positive: Fabulous location with easy walk to cafes, shops, etc. Lots of room for our group of 6 and well equipped. Fireplace stacked with wood and ready to go and a tasty welcome platter.

Negative: Nothing we didn’t like….. only a suggestion to have a mirror in all bedrooms and maybe hooks behind bedroom door for towels. Couldn’t find place mats or tablecloth for dining table.
