Welcome to True South Farm, a 17 acre modern working farm in Columbia, TN just 40 miles south of Nashville, TN where you can stay in the entire renovated Barn and meet miniature highland cows and miniature American ponies. True South Barn is the perfect escape from the city and a place where you can come to enjoy with friends and family, enjoy solitude, write, rest, enjoy the countryside and experience the animals who will welcome you. The Barn sleeps 6.
The space:
The Barn at True South Farm is a 1700 sq. ft restored barn that sits high on a hilltop overlooking panoramic views of the sprawling TN countryside. The Barn includes a private Master Bedroom and Bath with soaking tub, a Second Bedroom with custom builtin quad bunkbeds and private bathroom, equipped high end kitchen for cooking, Living Room with Large TV, Washer and Dryer, back pad with seating and fire table, use of grill and use of open green space.

Farm Entrance, enjoy long drive up large hill, pass the main Manor House and arrive at the Barn at the back of the property. Check yourself in with the keypad.

Summary: This property was just what we were looking for. We loved having the sports court and the views were amazing. Close to town but feel far away from it all. Thank you,Heather, for a great few days:)). We will miss hearing the cows in the afternoon and watching Clyde walking his laps!

Summary: We met one of the owners as we were checking in. Justin made us feel as if we were coming home and part of the family. The property is beautiful!! Pictures don’t do any of it justice. We made sure to wake up in time each morning to have coffee out back and watch the sun come up over the hills. We’ll definitely be back

Summary: The property was gorgeous. It was a girls weekend. So great place to meet up with a few friends and relax. We loved visiting with the cows and mini horse. The property was very clean and well maintained. Host was super nice and suggested great places to check out. Columbia was a great town to explore with awesome shops and places to eat. We would definitely go back to this location.

Summary: I can’t say enough positive things about this beautiful place! My family (5 of us total) came at the tail end of a road trip for a few days to rest and unwind. It was the perfect place to do just that. My two boys LOVED giving evening treats to the cows and to our neighbor, Clyde, the pony. The kitchen was well equipped and we had most meals in the barndo (did a quick kroger pickup less than 15 minutes away). There was a keurig AND ninja coffee pots (bonus). We enjoyed the hammock out back and also the basketball/tennis court. The barndo was very clean and beds were super comfortable. We will be spreading the word about this sweet property. We visited nashville and also Columbia downtown (Polk museum and home) while we were there also. Downtown nashville is a very doable drive if you are looking to stay out of the city but still visit. Summary: We had an absolute amazing time! The Batt family are simply the best, and their home and property were just what my family needed. We came to celebrate a wedding and ended up having the best time on the farm, too! A great place to relax, unwind, and have uninterrupted family time! Do yourself a favor and book a few nights on the farm! The Batts welcomed us and made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. Feeding the cows and Clyde, the pony, were an added plus! The views are amazing, too! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with my family!

Summary: This slice of paradise was exactly what we needed! I will admit we were a little anxious about being on the property while the owners were there, but once acclimated we felt very-much isolated as we had hoped. The barn is renovated just beautifully with all the modern amenities, style and comfort we had expected from the preview photos. We anticipated all of the animals being adjacent to us in the barn but after becoming fast friends with Clyde we were happy to have our one-on-one time getting to know him. The weather was moody which made for beautiful and quite different scenes across the pasture and the lake each day and night. It was raining when we arrived. Traveling from Florida we love being outside all of the time, even in the rain. A tiny, covered structure out back overlooking the view would be a terrific addition down the road. The location is perfect. Far enough out of the noise and civilization, but close enough for short- and easy-day trips to bring back any provisions you’ll want while enjoying the birds, sunrises, sunsets and fireflies. Our visits with all the animals were so special. The feeding night was the BEST! They were all friendly, funny and so well loved by the owners. We were taking our last photos when little Rosie peaked around the barn at the bottom of the driveway to say goodbye to us. We will never forget her cute little curious face. We were sad to leave her. It looked like she was genuinely sad to see us go. HIGHLY recommend getting lost here!

Summary: We enjoyed the beautiful barn and animals. The home is so well maintained and decorated beautifully. We would stay here again and the owners were so nice and took the time to talk to the kids about the animals. So fun! I would highly recommend this property to anyone llooking for a luxurious stay on a beautiful farm!!

Summary: What an absolutely magical experience to stay at True South Farm. The farmhouse was absolutely stunning and very clean. The furry friends right outside of our door were such a delight (love Clyde!!) The panoramic views of the sunrise and sunset were unreal. Just being at this magical place fed our souls and gave us so much to be grateful for. We feel truly blessed for the experience. Heather was super sweet and very communicative. We were so sad to leave, but will absolutely be returning!
