Churchland Farm, set in twelve acres on the Somerset Levels, offers a tranquil getaway for singles, couples, families, coarse fishers and those seeking cultural pleasures.
The farmhouse dates back to the early 17th century and sits alongside the River Brue. The Stables@Churchlands is a self contained barn conversion that sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms..
Guests have use of a wrap around veranda, hot tub, bbq and can stroll along the river bank though closing gates is essential to ensure we do not loose our horses.
We own two dogs, two cats and 4 horses not to mention the wild rabbits in evidence at dawn and dusk as well as some young deer and the odd fox.
Whether you want to bring your bikes and cycle through the levels or your hiking boots for country strolls there is plenty of space, not to mention the beaches near by and theme park which is great for all ages. For shopping you can't beat Bristol's Cribbs Causeway Mall, Broadmead or Cabot Circus shopping areas, Taunton's country town shops or near by Clarkes Village Outlet (up to 70% off). And if it is culture and history you are looking for then there are museums in abundance, historical towns & cities & great beaches for fossil hunting. For a special experience why not consider booking into one of the local spas. Somerset really has it all!
The bungalow, originally an old pig barn, is situated alongside a working horse yard. It is stand alone, has a well equipped kitchen with an induction cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle & coffee maker. Adjacent is the living/dining room equipped with a Smart TV with Netflix access. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 of which can be set up as either king-size beds or singles, 2 of which have en-suit shower rooms and then there is a separate shower/toilet room for the 3rd bedroom..
Hair dryer, dressing gowns for adults, bed linen, towels and tea towels are supplied.
By arrangement we can even lodge your ponies or horses subject to veterinary certificates and passports.
Night and day coarse fishing is available off the banks of the River Brue within the boundaries of Churchland Farm during the fishing season. Rod licenses will need to be presented before commencing fishing.
Check-in is at 3pm & checkout is at 10am to allow sufficient time to turn round the barn for the next guests. If you are staying for two weeks we can arrange for cleaning and change of linen on request at an additional cost.

Summary: This is perfect accommodation for a group. It is spacious and the kitchen is huge with everything you could possibly need for a cook up. Everything was clean and comfortable - all the beds were wonderfully comfortable with super kings in two of the bedrooms. The living/dining area worked well as it is so spacious, so that even with a large group we weren't falling over each other. The patio and many windows are south facing so we enjoyed a sunny aspect with plenty of space for outdoor dining, or sunset cocktails! The hot tub and BBQ were enjoyed by all! Kevin and Paula were great hosts and very responsive to our every need. Kevin even installed a ramp to accommodate disabled access! We had a fabulous time.

Summary: We had a fabulous time here - accommodation was spacious and comfortable with all you could wish for. There was nothing we could fault. The little extras that always make a difference were there too - fridge items, milk, butter, also sugar, tea and coffee with all the showers having having all the toiletries you could want.. Lovely host and the horses, dogs and cat were loved by our toddler. Well placed too for getting out and about. Recommend Churchland Farm and the Stable to anyone who wants quality accommodation in a lovely part of the country. Thank you Kevin xxxx

Summary: What a lovely couple of days we have spent here. We took 3 grandchildren who have thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They loved the hot tub and the horses and the dogs!! Kevin was a great host and even let the girls have a ride on the horses. The property itself was really quirky and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back.

Summary: Lovely property in the countryside, down a nice private lane, parking was easy as a large area at the front. Lovely little kitchen which was well equiped, even supply plastic glasses for use in your own garden area with hottub. Beds were made up prior to arrival, all well made and lovely clean, fresh bedding. We all slept SO well!!! Friendly host who met us and let our children meet the lovely dogs and cats. We were also allowed to go and meet and feed the horses in their stables, my daughter loved this. Bathroom had a nice big shower and was clean and lots of towels were provided. The lounge has a fab comfy sofa and we enjoyed a movie night with the kids. Cant fault this lovely little escape from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Would have happily stayed a week!!!

Summary: We had a fantastic few days at he Old Dairy Annex. The location is great, close enough to local shops but remote enough to feel part of the somerset countryside. The property owners are lovely friendly people who go out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. There is plenty to do and see in the local area for all ages and a lovely hot tub to relax in as an added bonus.

Summary: A real warm welcome, access to hottub through owners porch, we had sole use of hottub. Bathroom through double room, twin rooms on mezzanine. Lots of cycle routes from the house. A lovely rustic place to call our base.

Summary: We had a fab time staying with Pauline & Kevin, who were amazing hosts making us so welcome and proving cakes as it was our daughter's birthday, which made things extra special. The cottage was lovely and cozy, the location was perfect for us and being able to watch the stars from the private hot tub in the evening just magical!

Summary: We had the most amazing time. It is so peaceful and restful. The hot tub was lovely - so many stars. The owners were so kind and gave my grandaughter, daughter and son in law riding lessons which they were delighted by. You can walk along the river from the property which is lovely and there are cows and sheep. We had amazing food at the Duck inn which was a short drive away. You can also get a range of take aways which is fab. It is close to the beach, a short car ride. We will be going again next year and I can't wait. ❤️
