Positive: What a lovely time we had. Unfortunately we only stayed one night but we were welcomed like old friends. The castle is so interesting and they take you for a tour before showing you your room. Breakfast in the morning was a delight. Parties, fruit, juices and your choice of a hot item. The staff were all warm and gracious. Would definitely stay again.

Positive: Everything about my stay was exceptional! First of all, it was a stay in an authentic castle which it incredible in and of itself, but beyond that my room was wonderful with a very comfortable bed and a huge tub and shower. The staff at the castle were delightful and attentive and I met wonderful fellow travelers at the evening drinks in the bar. This is a place and a stay that I will not ever forget!

Positive: We loved everything about our stay here from the staff, the location, the castle history and the exceptional manager, Simon. Breakfast provided in the Great Hall every morning was delicious from continental offerings to individual selections. Of course it helped that Simon is also a chef! We can't say enough about him - from helping us bring our bags up the castle spiral stairs (no elevator...it's a 17th century castle))...to recommendations on points of interest in Oban which is a 20 minute drive from the castle. We loved the little cafe in Benderloch for our afternoon tea and scones only a 5 minutes drive. If you love history, the Scotland hills and lochs, and an intimate experience this is the place to go.

Positive: The cozy intimate atmosphere of a small bed & breakfast with the regality of a true castle. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, & helpful. It felt like a home away from home.

Negative: They do not currently have dinner service but they said they are working on getting it started up
