Positive: Quiet area. Cozy and spacious rooms. Attentive and polite staff. There is a descent to the beach.

Negative: The beach next to the hotel is not very suitable for swimming. There are many people and boats in the water.

Positive: We stayed at 3 different accomodations at Bara Beach and this was our favorite.Easy access to the beach at all times(no high tide restrictions) Large comfortable clean rooms. Delicious food( we came back to eat a few times) AND the most delightful staff.

Positive: Very nice bungalows and near the beach with not many people. Restaurant was providing good breakfast and dinner. Personell assisted us getting snorkeling trip arranged and visit to nearby island.

Negative: It's a bit further away of the main village and Gojeck or Grab is not available to hire but you can ask personell to arrange transport for you.

Positive: Staff very friendly and were quick to rectify ants issue (first day bathroom was overrun, mid-stay bedroom was overrun). Room has decent AC, big comfortable bed and large fridge. Bathroom in second room was decent. Sorted bike Makassar transfer, bike rental and boat trip easily enough. Free chilled water was a plus.

Negative: Massively overpriced for what is quite basic accommodation. The rooms are big but actually needlessly so. Food at restaurant is so so. Hardly anything around so they can charge a premium for average food. Beer decent price though. Boat trip was a bit random. We specifically asked if we could go snorkeling for a few hours and be back by 13:30ish. Unbeknownst to us, we were kept at a restaurant on a filthy beach on Luikang for nearly two hours, expected to eat at a guy's restaurant and not leave until 1400. We eventually insisted we leave. Snorkeling was excellent though. I mentioned it was my partner's birthday but this was overlooked.

Positive: Comfortable bungalows at a great location. The beach is right at your doorstep and it's very clean and beautiful. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The restaurant serves great food. The bungalows themselves are a bit outdated but still function well.

Negative: Water pressure of showers was bad. The walls of the bungalows are very thin and every sound outside can be heard very clearly. Bungalows are a bit outdated.
