Summary: My husband and I enjoyed our 2 weeks at Bamboo for 2. It is about 10 minutes south of the main highway in a residential area bordering on rural. Just be aware when renting a vehicle that smaller works better in maneuvering the driveway. Our jeep worked fine. Microwave is small and on top of the fullsized refrigerator. There is also a full stove and all the pots and pans we needed. Wifi is sometimes iffy but met our needs. This was a great base for exploring Waimea canyon and the Poipu and Lihue areas.

Summary: Being in a neighborhood, we really felt at home at the Bamboo Cottage. The cottage is tucked back behind the main house with it's own private garden. Everything was just wonderful. Neighborhood was very quiet, no houses across the street. Great sunset views from the deck. Kitchen was well equipped with a lot of nice quality items. Everything was great. Just make sure you get your access code before you arrive because the cell signal up at the cottage is spotty. Highly recommend the Bamboo Cottage if you are looking for a quiet get away and Kauai is the best place if your a nature lover and you want to get away from the traffic on the other islands.

Summary: We stayed here for 10 nights on our honeymoon, everyone one in the neighborhood is so nice and friendly and we loved how private this cottage is. It was nice to have our own drive way during our stay. We felt so much hospitality and we love the bamboo theme!

Summary: If you’re not one of those people who have to be at the Sheridan on the ocean, being waited on hand and foot, then this is the perfect quiet getaway for you, clean, comfortable, relaxing away from the hustle and bustle of the busy beach, I highly recommend quiet beaches, a great little brewery, the Kauai brewing company, a golf course within walking distance a little nine holeer but still a lot of fun and inexpensive

Summary: Everything about this rental was perfect for us. It was comfortable in every way, and the owner shows such care in providing many quality appliances and furniture pieces, in addition to smaller items like the cushions on the deck chairs (we ate every meal there, beginning with morning coffee) and the beach chairs. The neighborhood is perfectly quiet, and fun to walk around. And Kalaheo is in a great location not too far from the busy Poipu area, or for driving through Waimea up to the canyon hikes. Our questions were answered immediately and in such afriendly way.
