Summary: Really nice hotel in a beautiful very quiet setting. Rooms were nice though the water pressure a touch inconsistent, lounge downstairs and honesty bar were very handy as the hotel is quite out of the way, no restaurant for dinner, but breakfast was good. Allocation of rooms was a little odd and the wifi was very spotty.

Summary: Balmule House is amazing! Beautiful house and grounds, peaceful atmosphere, and impeccable service. The house is beautifully restored. The host and employees were very attentive and friendly. We took a week long tour of Scotland with a different B&B each night. This was by far the best experience, and not even the most expensive place we stayed. Great value. When we come back to Scotland, we want to come back here and spend more time.

Summary: Rooms were luxuriously decorated en suite bathroom was huge, loved the comfort of warm tiles underfoot. The breakfast was excellent and beautifully presented. Staff couldn't be more helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be back and will recommend to friends.

Summary: We stayed one night at Balmule House prior to a driving experience at Knochhill Racing Circuit. The property is beautiful and has been tastefully decorated throughout. There is no restaurant, so dinner involves either a drive or a taxi journey (about £10 each way), but if you are fine with this, then this a lovely place to stay with fantastic views over the countryside. The breakfast was fantastic and everything is cooked to order. We would definitely come back.
