Positive: Good location for walking to the centre of Margate and close to the beach. Easy to head out to local restaurants.

Negative: Generally in a very poorly maintained state with damp patches on ceilings, leaking showers, dirty walls, a blocked kitchen drain , mould in the bathrooms, a broken window unable to be opened and stained bed linen on one of the beds when we arrived. The area itself is also quite dirty and run down (maybe typical for the town?) The booking team were responsive to the issues when raised but dealing with queries all weekend to get them resolved ruined the time away. Also note that the property is set across multiple levels with uneven stairs so easy to trip when moving around, and compounded by dim lighting in the halls/ stairwells.

Summary: Wouldn’t go back

Negative: A bit too dark inside The shower I used was an electric wall box. Worked, but not the best Coffee machine didn’t work properly.

Positive: The house is gorgeously designed & decorated and felt like staying at a boutique hotel. The location can't be beat, either - easy walking distance to the beach and all the main attractions. It was very comfortable and spacious for a large group.

Negative: It seems like the owner has turned over management to an AI-driven property management company. This was very frustrating to have to continually message an AI bot when issues arose with our stay (and we had a few, including - a locked door to part of the house we'd rented, electricity to the showers not being turned on, and a large storm that caused significant leaking on our first night). While we eventually got through (I think) to actual humans, we ended up needing to spend a lot of our short trip messaging an AI. For the issue with the locked door, for example, we didn't get through to someone who could actually help us until halfway through the trip, so we ended up having to share rooms and not use part of the house we'd paid for. It's clear from the bespoke decor and the lovely website with Margate recommendations that the original owner of the property cares a lot for the home, so it's a shame that the property management service they're using doesn't reflect this same attention to detail.

Positive: Great find for a big group of friends/family The house is in a perfect location, and it's really cozy with a fireplace that made our evenings extra special. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were super comfy, and although we didn't get to use the small garden because of the winter weather, it looked lovely. Overall, I'd definitely come back!

Negative: I think the lock on the upstairs bathroom needs replacing, and we couldn't figure out how to switch on upstairs shower
