Summary: I stayed in a lovely cottage in a garden on the estuary south of Morro Bay. They have hotel rooms also, some facing the water. A very nice resort in a great location

Summary: We unfortunately did not have a balcony view ( the bay is beautiful) Lou, the hotel manager? receptionist ? should get 5 stars. Great hospitality! The location was great, and I would give it 5 stars had we gotten a room with a view . Unfortunately our view was the back of a restaurant. Great location and I would recommend it to other travelers .

Summary: I had an amazing stay at Backside Bay Inn! I booked a balcony room and was blown away by the gorgeous view of the Bay—especially for the great rate I got. The room was spotless, and the entire property was beautiful to walk around. I genuinely wish I could’ve stayed longer. Big shoutout to the manager, Dan the Man. I arrived late at night, and he made the after-hours check-in completely seamless. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, which made a huge difference after a long day of travel. I definitely plan to stay here again in the future!
