Positive: The 2 young men who were looking after everything were wonderful. Incredibly helpful and friendly. The pool was fantastic and much appreciated. Dinner was delicious. The cook should get a raise. The communal area with an urn, tea, coffee, and water was great. So sensible. Communication was excellent, and I really appreciated it when they rearranged our bus time because I changed my mind. Thank you.

Negative: Breakfast was not great. Fried banana fritters (oily) cold pancakes and eggs both days. And, although the stay was relaxing, it's quite expensive compared to other places we stayed in Vietnam.

Positive: Small hotel/ homestay on the lake. Magical peaceful setting. Taken across the lake by boat to it from our minibus drop off which was very special. Lovely staff who couldn’t do enough for us, always trying to help and spot what we wanted. Food was wonderful and so generous. They easily accommodated my vegetarian diet. Room was basic but nice; comfortable bed and pillows, cleaned and new bedding after 2 days. Walls very thin to the next room . We did 2 organised trips: full day guided boat trip around the lake with short hike through a local village and fields, cave , waterfall, lunch, island temple and island lake. Highly recommend this, it was wonderful. Then guided trip to Tham Phay caves which was utterly incredible. Really worth it. The guides we had were all local, booked by the homestay and fantastic. We also used the free bicycles to go to Hua Ma caves: 240m of steps up to it but amazing and we had it all to ourselves. We enjoyed our stay here a lot. Much more rural and off the beaten track than some of the more obvious tourist places. Highly recommend.

Positive: Amazing, tranquil location. Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Food was excellent! Communal environment where it’s easy to chat with other travelers. I recommend using their kayaks to enjoy some time on the lake. The two sweet dogs there were an added bonus!

Positive: I loved how quiet and peaceful Ba Be Jungle house is. The staff are extremely helpful, friendly and hard working. They organised a fantastic day trekking as well as support with the onward journey. The food was fantastic. Well done and thank you! Nguyen Nam and his team are fantastic.
