Positive: Fabulous place to stay in Pennapiedimonte in every way. B&B Lo Gnomo is stylishly furnished and very spacious with a full kitchen and communal living room. My room was very comfortable and clean. Antonella is a wonderful and friendly host who lives nearby and was always available for checkin, breakfast in the morning, and any other time she was needed. The B&B is in the center of lovely Pennapiedimonte with restaurants nearby. One of my favorite places to stay during my 2 months traveling in Italy...and one place I hope to go back to one day.

Negative: Nothing to not like.

Positive: Antonella and family are lovely. Very friendly. Very accommodating with parking a scooter, making a restaurant reservation on the guest's behalf, preparing breakfast for a time that suits the guest.

Negative: Church bells are very charming. I did notice some ear plugs the morning after.

Positive: A singular location, partly carved from the white rock of the mountain. A perfect place to taste some of the flavor of life in a medieval borgo, but with excellent, tasteful modern appointments. The town has stunning views and serves as a starting point for long walks into the gorge that penetrates deep into the Majella. An almost spiritual experience for those who love history and nature.

Negative: Our stay could've been longer. But that's our fault.

Summary: A revelatory experience in a singular location combining history, culture and nature.

Positive: This is a unique opportunity that I can’t recommend highly enough! The building of the beautiful stone of the Maiella mountains is exposed throughout. The town is built on the mountainside so everything is up or down. The Lo Gnomo serves an excellent breakfast and the local owners are very helpful and kind!

Negative: Parking is at a premium but for me this wasn’t a problem. A small car is definitely advantageous!

Summary: This was my most memorable places to stay during my month-long visit to Abruzzo; it is worth the drive!
