Positive: We liked the location, out of the town on a road that was quiet at night. We booked too late to have a lake view from bedroom but view from the breakfast room and gardens was spectacular.

Negative: Access on foot to town was very steep but manageable and was better than trying to find parking in the town. There were several restaurants but mostly they were expensive. Access to the ensuite bathroom was up a short flight of steps.

Positive: Fantastic view from the balcony of Lake Orta and the island. Very good standard of rooms and bathrooms. Nice and helpful hosts. Very good rich breakfasts. Fresh homemade cake baked by the owner every day.
