Summary: We were given an unexpected room upgrade from one triple to two ocean view rooms on arrival. The delicious dinners were offered on the covered patio overlooking the extensive flowering gardens and the ocean before our hosts treated us to an amphibious beach buggy ride at sunset. We finished the day relaxing in the hot tub. Wonderful day. They made it so easy to include everything they offered. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Summary: So I am that person who relies on your reviews to choose my lodging accommodations, but has never contributed with a review. (I already know that’s not fair so no haranguing please.) But I’m absolutely positive that if you decide to stay at this incredible place, you will be very pleased with your choice. I have traveled the world and this was a unique, beautiful, and exceptional experience. It feels like your’e home and being spoiled by two of the most attentive and amazing people on earth.

Summary: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our stay at Sunset Lodge was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, Elizabeth and Selwyn made us feel genuinely welcome — their warmth, friendliness and attention to detail truly go above and beyond. The food was absolutely fabulous — beautifully prepared, delicious, and thoughtfully presented, making each meal feel like a real treat. The lodge itself is perfectly located, offering peace, comfort and stunning surroundings that make it incredibly hard to leave. We honestly wish we could have stayed longer. If you’re planning a visit, do yourself a favour and stay at least two nights — one simply isn’t enough to soak in the atmosphere, hospitality and magic of this special place. A truly memorable stay — we can’t wait to return

Summary: Didn’t realize this place was a B&B until we were greeted by Elizabeth and Selwyn. They welcomed us and offered snacks and wine. As we didn’t know about there being no official restaurant on premises, provided us with an excellent lasagna and salad dinner. (with more wine). Room was beautiful and on the ocean just a few steps from the water. Breakfast was also great and more than we could finish. We would recommend the Awatuna Sunset Lodge to anyone traveling in this area.
