Relaxing, updated year-round house located on a bay in Lake Edward. With a big sandy beach and calm waters, there's fun to be had for everyone! Come enjoy this family friendly beach house in a perfect location of Nisswa/Merrifield! This gorgeous house boasts a sandy beach with gradual entry perfect for kids! East facing and almost always calm, in a cozy bay, the water is great for kayaking and paddleboarding. You will have access to the dock, a boathouse stocked with toys: 3 kayaks, canoe, paddleboard, paddle boat, floaties, badminton (large flat yard is perfect), cornhole/bean bag, other yard games, knee board, etc.
The house is all main floor except laundry and ping pong in basement. It has a large main bedroom (Cali king) bedroom with en suite bathroom, a bedroom with queen bed, full hallway bathroom, a bedroom with two twin beds and a sofa bed (air mattress and 2 pack n plays available too).
The house includes reclaimed oak wood floors, carpet in bedrooms, kitchen appliances with many extras like blender, crockpot etc. Rainy day amenities include smart TV's in every bedroom, ping pong in basement, boardgames & puzzles and a beloved toy bin and dollhouse. We also have a little library with kids and adult books.
Central air and ceiling fans throughout. Gas fireplace for use in the cooler months and electric fireplace in master bedroom. Washer and dryer downstairs , attached garage, and large driveway. The view of the beach and lake from the large windows in living room and dining room cant be beat!
We have a Weber gas grill and a BIG GREEN EGG grill next to the patio dining set and awesome hammock.
There are multiple places (Dave's Sportland, Boats & Beyond) nearby to rent a boat or pontoon (they will deliver) and you can tie to our dock. The public boat landing is a mile away if you bring your own boat. Paul Bunyan biking and snowmobiling trail is minutes away, and downtown Nisswa with popular restaurants is just 10 minute drive. Very close to Nisswa water park. Mini golf and other fun things to do all within 10-15 minutes.
For kids we have two pack n plays with sheets, booster seat for dining table, high chair, baby monitor, cordless room darkening shades (blackout curtains in master bedroom), kids eating utensils, toys, magazines, ping pong, large chalkboard in breezeway, board games, puzzles, dollhouse and many yard games. Sorry, pets not allowed.
*Note: the motorboat and boat lift on dock are NOT included in the rental. The guests can bring their own boat or rental boat and use dock to tie up or beach the boat. Paddle boat IS included.
Also, we cannot guarantee that the dock will be in after October 1st due to weather and maintenance schedules. In the spring the dock will typically go in the water mid May (around fishing opener). We do not ever guarantee a dock will be in before June due to MN weather- please contact us with dock questions*

Summary: Hands down best lake rental our family has had. Quiet, private and everything you need. The cabin is so homey and comfortable. Beautiful lake with a nice clean beach. The owners are so kind and generous with all the items included in the rental. We will be back!

Summary: Very Nice! The steep hill to the lakeshore was a bit tough for me--I'm 73 and it would be nice to have the grab bar back in the shower of the master bath. It looks like it was ripped out or something. Otherwise it was done very well and we appreciated the house very much. Thank you!

Summary: This is the perfect family vacation for young kids. We went their with my immediate family, which includes 2 kids under 5. The host was responsive when we had some questions about the property. The kitchen was well stocked. The gradual entry beach was wonderful and we spent a lot of time here daily. The beach was well groomed with little seaweed compared to other cabins. The one minor suggestion I had was it would have been nice to have some umbrellas or something for shade cover near the beach. We had a great time and hope to return!

Summary: The home was more than we could ask for. The kitchen is well stocked with Ninja blenders, 2 coffee makers (1 Keurig), great cookwear, plenty of dishware and utensils and 2 outdoor grills. Beautiful sandy beach with very gradual slope and a cute deck for morning tea/coffee, We rented a pontoon and lake Edward is beautiful and easy to navigate. Friendly and peaceful neighbors, along with the beautiful sounds of the loons. Hoping to go back again next year.

Summary: This house was perfect. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to go back. The house was beautiful and easily suited my grandparents and my children aged 16,21 and 24. The water was crystal clear and the neighbors were so friendly. We loved having access to all the kayaks, and toys. Our only regret is not staying longer. If anyone is questioning staying here please don’t hesitate and book right away.

Summary: We really enjoyed the property. We especially enjoyed the well stocked kitchen (we cook a lot!) and all the great recreation options provided in the boat house. Great fire pit close to the lake too. Two things to check…there was a loose screw on the right side of the dishwasher that kept popping out and prevented the door from closing. We eventually stopped trying to get it to stay in and we placed it on the window sill. We also think the bass grill may be low in propane. The second burner was having a hard time lighting. Not sure but the burner unit inside Ay need to be replaced. We didn’t try too hard to replace the propane as we couldn’t get the current one disconnected. We couldn’t turn the connection.

Summary: This was our second stay at this cabin and we again had a wonderful time. There is a great sand beach for kids to play on and the water clarity is fantastic! The cabin is well stocked with everything needed from kitchen equipment to toys in the boat house (canoe, kayaks, standup paddle board, floats, etc). We plan to return!
