Positive: The location worked for us - touring in the Telemark area, the cost of the accomodation offered good value for money. The staff in the restaurant responded to a request to mark my wife's birthday with a vase of wild flowers on the table at dinner which was lovely. Food in the restaurant was to a good standard and very reasonably priced. Parking was very easy and convenient.

Negative: The room was rather tired (the bathroom whilst functioning was in need of upgrading) and some of the public corridors were shabby. Clearly its an all season hotel so carpets have to deal with dampness in the winter from skiers/walkers - they are showing the signs of this - rucked up or loose sections here and there. There is a great view of the lake but if you fancy a walk to it be prepared for a bit a hike - think the 'advertising' on Booking.com might be regarded as a bit misleading if you don't really study it carefully....

Positive: Very nice surroundings, descent breakfast, large outside terrace and spacious common area at the first floor. Choice of two dining options in the restaurant, ala carte or buffet.

Negative: It is old fashioned hotel in general, some areas need refurbishment. Shower room is very small.

Positive: The location is perfect, off the beaten track by a beautiful lake. The staff were fantastic, feels like a family run place and everyone was very helpful and accommodating. They also had an amazing dog, but it is kept away from guests for anyone that isn't so keen.

Negative: Everything perfect.
