Positive: The room was clean, comfortable and pleasant. Brian and Laura were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, plenty of variety.

Summary: Excellent place to stay and close to the Hatston Ferry terminal.

Positive: Wonderful location just above Kirkwall - the view of the town and bay is spectacular! The property is modern, rooms are spacious, well-decorated, comfortable, and had en suite bath. Rooms are in a location of the property that feels private, and the common kitchen/lounge area is easily accessed and well-supplied with drinks, snacks, refrigerator, microwave, etc. The owners are so kind, friendly, and communicated readily via the app and/or text. We had a delicious breakfast with homemade pancakes, fresh fruit, toast, and many choices of cereals, etc. We asked for some dining and activity recommendations and were given good choices. We would definitely stay here again!

Negative: Nothing - everything was perfect.

Positive: The guest house is in a lovely elevated position just outside Kirkwall. The owner is welcoming, helpful and thoughtful (she even gave my wife a birthday gift). Our room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The linen is clearly of good quality and shows the hosts attention to detail. We recommend it to anyone visiting Orkney

Positive: Lovely welcome from an attentive owner. The place is spotless throughout. Having access to a kitchen and dining area was really welcomed after a good few days on the road. Breakfast is continental but all fresh and plenty of choice.

Negative: The accommodation is a little way out of town so suited to people with their own transport.

Positive: We liked the whole experience staying at Aultnagar the facilities were just first class, the breakfasts were spot on especially the pancakes and the cheese scones were mmm . Laura did really spoil us a lovely lady we were sad to leave and Brian was ok 😂

Positive: A warm welcome from host. Great views from the breakfast room that could also be used later in the day for takeaways. Continental breakfast very good with local foods (cheese, butter, bran cakes etc) to try . All the facilities you need in the room including small fridge. Water and Orkney fudge a nice touch. A B&B as you would expect and as I remember before emigrating.

Negative: Not a problem for us but you need a car to get to the accommodation as it is well outside the centre of Kirkwall (< 5 minutes drive). No hand washing allowed.

Summary: A warm Orkney welcome at a genuine B&B.
