Positive: Just a few steps from the Abbey of St. Foi, a great location. Staff was very kind and helpful. The room is spacious, and the breakfast was very generous.

Negative: I don't have any complaints, but for the mobility challenged guest, you should know there is no elevator (and my room was on the 4th floor).

Summary: Great place in a beautiful town.

Positive: Perfect location, great little hotel in a very(!) old building, adjacent to the Abbatiale.

Negative: Understanding that it's a very old building in a village that's, more or less, one thousand years old, there is no elevator. For travelers with heavy luggage: it can be difficult to navigate the very small, circuitous stairwells to the upper floors and rooms.

Positive: Enjoyed spending the evening in Conques surrounded by walkers and no cars. There was an extremely spiritual aura of the town. Watching the illumination of the outside porche of the church at sunset after a half hour detailed description of the Catholic carvings was électrique.

Negative: Driving through the whole to drop off suitcases for night. We should have walked up the 500m from the official car park with just our overnight rucksack and integrated with 100% of the walking pilgrims visiting this visit.

Summary: A spiritual village that should be approached on foot.

Positive: Heating. Good bed. Nice young man who helped take my bag up.

Negative: Noise!! I think staff are housed on 4th floor and they made noise late at night and early morning. There is no way to communicate with the reception desk. Really inconsiderate. As a result, poor quality of sleep. Grumpy man runs this place. No smile. Would not entertain giving access to the room an hour early despite being a very wet walker. Others on reception were equally grumpy.

Summary: Good location. Poor soundproofing results in poor sleep. Grumpy head staff.
