Negative: When I made the booking I realized that it was far from clear what facilities were included. I contacted the owners and they said this was due to the complexity of the Booking.com site. When we arrived we were told that we would be on our own overnight in the house. Realizing that this would put me in a position of responsibility should there be an emergency or problem, I had to ask for a telephone number. In the event two other guests turned up. Thank goodness only two because the 'breakfast' would be utter chaos if the house was full. The breakfast ? A box of Cheerios , bread and jam and cook -them- yourself eggs. No staff in the house at all and it had been implied that we should do the clearing up ourselves. This is what you expect at a Youth Hostel. I have asked the owners, twice and in French ,to reply to my concerns before contacting Booking.com. I have not received any response from them.
Summary: Pity !

Positive: Location and space are amazing. Right in the village center. The Auberge itself is spacious, clean and many places to relax and hangout. Also beautiful backyard. Little restaurant and grocery store across the street. Quiet and peaceful.
Negative: Information about the room weren't exactly true. It said we would be facing the garden, and the room was adjacent to the front door and street Also said, and most disappointingly, private bathroom and it wasnt. It was shared with the other downstairs room. The bathroom was adjacent to our room, and even it if said the rooms are soundproof we could ear everything going on in said shared bathroom :/ Breakfast was really basic: bread with jam, peanut butter and yogourt already prepped the day prior and available in the fridge. When we got to get our share, there was barely anything left. We never saw the host througout the stay, ourselves and other travels had questions but no one available to help in the house. Its good has its gives freedom, but also a bit too laidback and careless.
Summary: Good for short stays. Confirm details with hosts, because inaccurate information on booking.com
