Summary: This is a unique hotel in the middle of Chautauqua Institution. We had a fantastic room and thoroughly enjoyed the history and surroundings.

Summary: Not for the typical traveler. That said, it's a beautiful setting, but the accommodations are a bit rough. Could be very stunning if they achieve their fundraising goals and renovate it from top to bottom.

Summary: The continental breakfast was healthy and varied. Our room was lovely, it faced the lake and had a beautiful view. The staff was accommodating and very friendly. Perfect for a mid week stay as a quiet getaway.
