Positive: The location is great and secluded and the hotel is pretty new. Appreciate that the restaurant is open 24hrs because there is not much for food options in this area.

Negative: The cleanliness was lacking in some areas, and the amount of bugs at this hotel is shocking to be honest. At this elevation I couldn’t believe the amount of flies everywhere, and we were here during the rainy season so I can imagine it’s worse at peak travel season. If you sit outside at their restaurant it’s near impossible to keep the flies off of your food. The rooms do not have AC, there is a vent fan that pulls in outside air. When we arrived the room was very hot, and thankfully we got the room to cool down keeping the fan on but it took some time because you need a room key to keep the power on. Can’t imagine how hot it gets in these rooms during peak travel season without the rain.

Summary: Good location and new facilities, but need to improve cleanliness/reduce bugs and pests. Would be great to install a

Positive: It’s a stunning location right next to the Bromo volcano - very convenient for a tour. The cabins are nice and secluded, with great views. The same can be said for the restaurant and the terrace. The food and breakfast buffet were very nice as well, and they also arrange breakfast boxes for any tours you want to do. The staff was kind and helpful, we had a wonderful stay.

Negative: It may feel secluded, but it’s right where you want to be for a Bromo tour. I would recommend this over staying further away!

Positive: Breakfast was good - not the best, not the worse The views are amazing The units are beautiful but can be chilly!

Negative: Dinner scene was meh for the level of accom it is (expect higher end cuisine at a place that expensive) The units were not heated - and on a rainy day it was cold

Positive: We are very glad that we choose Artotel for our stay. The location of the hotel is perfect, close to the entrance to the Sea of Sand. The cabin is very comfortable and has a terrace with a beautiful view. The surrounding is very quiet and tranquil which makes it a perfect place to relax after exploring the National Park. At the reception we were kindly informed that the hot water is limited and that we will have to wait an hour if we use it all. So we used the water carefully and we didn’t ran out of hot water 😊 the bathroom was also equipped with hair dryer which I really appreciated. I was a little concerned about the cold during the night but the room was equipped with a small heater so we could warm up 😊 We also had a dinner and a breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant and it was delicious. We absolutely recommend this place!

Negative: Flies issue is ongoing. Other than that everything was perfect.
