Positive: The fire place was a fair size, the shower was nice and hot, the wifi worked well and we had an electric blanket on our bed. The location was good and enabled an easy walk to the village. The outdoor area includes a pool, hot tub, fire pit and pizza oven. Secure parking was available.
Negative: The cottage was extremely cold. It was not very clean. No heaters in the bedrooms. No windows in the main bedroom or bathrooms. A little bit too rustic. Might be a reasonable accommodation during summer when most time is spent outdoors at the pool.
Summary: A rustic stay in a beautiful part of the country favoured by hikers and mountain bikers.

Positive: Warm welcome by the owner, Dee de Kock ... loads of outdoor facilities, pool, pizza oven, braai and hot tub ... lovely day bed to relax on and read under massive trees ... fireplace came in handy ... beautifully decorated rooms ...

Positive: The location is unbeatable. You can walk everywhere if you want to go for a drink or a bite to eat. But why would you want to go anywhere... with a braai, pizza oven, pool, kol kol and numerous benches and chairs around, there is no shortage of places to chillax and really unwind. The Art Box is quirky and well equipped..a really great get away.

Positive: There are a lot of outdoor facilities like barbecue , hot tub ,pool and pizza oven if weather is good . The fireplace came in handy and the best part of it all was the location - excellent !
Negative: The bedroom was a bit gloomy and dark - and didn’t lend itself to relaxing other than sleep time. The bed could have been bigger.
Summary: Excellent location and a fabulous host !
