Positive: Unique, secluded spot overlooking Deba. You really get the Caserio experience. Fully equipped kitchen, plenty of area to hang out, and amazing hosts.

Negative: The road is narrow, and we encountered some crazy drivers.

Positive: The view was incredible -we stayed during a nasty heatwave in Spain where the temperatures were over 40 degrees and were upgraded to an air conditioned apartment which was a godsend

Negative: It was a long uphill walk from Deba which wasn’t really a problem as taxis are quite reasonable

Summary: Amazing hosts, beautiful accomodation-couldn’t fault it

Positive: Beautiful place surrounded by nature, very relaxing. The structure is more informal compared to a hotel, but with everything you need—there’s a huge kitchen where you can find anything, and a large living room to relax in. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful. A big plus are the animals living in the courtyard! If you’re an animal lover, it’s highly recommended—I spent hours cuddling them all. The sweetest dogs in the world!

Positive: The house owner was lovely and very helpful. There was a kettle for tea and coffee and a communal living room. There were also ready meals available to purchase. We were kindly given a lift into Deba the next day as the path was muddy. Breakfast was available and it was really good.

Negative: It is around 500m off the Camino. The ready meals are a little bland.

Positive: The property was beautiful very welcoming and homely. A bit off the beaten track on the camino but well workth it. We prepared our own food in the evening there was everything you would neeed. The grounds were perfect to watch the sunset!

Negative: Sign posting but we were walking cross country
