Positive: Guesthouse with beautifully renovated and comfortable room. Family atmosphere, delicious breakfast and amazing view. It is on top of Gjirokastër, so arriving by car is a little tricky (Google Maps ideas are partially incorrect, and there are roadworks blocking one of the roads).

Positive: Arpet Guesthouse is the best accommodation we have had during our visit to Albania. We are a family of four with two boys (11 and 14) and the room was spacious, spotless and very comfortable. There are two outside seating areas, and the views of the castle, mountains and surrounding skyline are superb. Bruna is a perfect host, wonderfully hospitable and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We could not have asked for more.

Negative: Nothing!

Summary: The perfect choice in Gjirokaster. Highly recommended.

Positive: A great place both as a base for exploring the city and its surroundings as well as for an evening chillout with a view of the city and the surrounding castle. Tasty breakfast, comfortable beds and a large bathroom.

Negative: Despite the help from the host, getting to the location causes a stream of sweat down your back if you drive your own car. Narrow and winding. Do not use Google Maps.

Positive: Best view in Albania. Grab a bottle of wine and sit on the terrace, this will make your whole stay a great experience. The apartment itself is freshly renovated, you can also enjoy local breakfast, prepared by a lovely host.

Negative: Beware of the tricky navigation of Google Maps in Gijrokaster. If you arrive by car, drive from the direction of Zekate House, otherwise you risk getting stuck in small pedestrian streets and Google tends to direct you through stairs.
