Positive: Nice views from the room and terrace, but these can be found anywhere in the city.

Negative: Host was impossible to get in touch with. He never responded to any of my questions in the months leading up to stay. He briefly answered the morning of our stay but then at our check in time, he stopped responding all together and did not provide us information on how to get in. We sat outside the building for 90 minutes trying to get a response and he never answered. We finally got the cleaning lady to help us in. He didn’t answer the entire 2 day stay. The room is extremely small. Would not recommend as there are many places near here with beautiful views.

Positive: It truly exceeded our expectations! We found it very peaceful and appreciated the thoughtful use of natural materials and simplicity in the design of the space. And the framed view of the sea—so lovely! The bed was very comfortable, the mini split warmed the room well (it was Manarola in December after all!) and there was plenty of hot water for showers after a day of exploring the area. While we didn’t have much time to fully appreciate them, the common area and rooftop terrace looked very inviting. It would have been fun to do some stargazing up there. The location was great—like living inside a postcard for a bit with the drama of the coastline and the colorful houses clustered on the cliffs. It was close enough to the train station and restaurants yet at the end of the lane, just above the cliffs. We loved how the place seemed like our own private oasis—just us and the sea!

Negative: The tub drained very slowly and standing in the accumulating water while showering was off-putting. We also wish we were allowed to have food in the room/common area/terrace.
