Positive: The location was great. Right on the beach and within walking distance to small grocery stores and the international date line. Close to activities such as scuba diving, snorkeling and site seeing. The pool was clean and beautiful, as was the grounds. The owners, Rod and Katheryn were friendly and helpful. Katheryn was amazing organizing our activities. All the staff were courteous and responsive.

Negative: There were mosquitos under the dinner table the first night until they burned insect coils which worked to keep them away.The breakfast was just ok for a continental breakfast that was included, Cereal, fruit, yogurt, variety of breads. A full breakfast was available for a cost.

Summary: This is a place I would definitely return to. A wonderful smaller resort with personal service.

Positive: This was a great resort. We live in Fiji, and this is the nicest pool we have ever had at a resort. The owners are wonderful. The staff is friendly and helpful. They arranged a snorkeling trip and a wonderful hike to a beautiful waterfall. The food was good at the restaurant, especially the breakfast. There are two small grocery stores just a short walk away, so you really don't need a car while staying there. Just arrange for transportation from the airport. Also, the internet is amazingly fast here. They use Starlink so you won't have any problems with internet.

Summary: Wonderful resort. Reasonably priced. This island is spectacular.

Positive: Everything about our stay at Aroha was excellent!! Rod came and picked us up from the airport. He told us all about the island and the activities we could do there. Aroha is a little gem, a beautiful location right on the water in clean, very comfortable, nicely decorated bures. The food was amazing and every night there were 3 choices to choose from on top of their regular menu. The cocktails were yummy and the fresh fruit smoothies were delicious as well. The staff is so incredibly welcoming...we loved all of them. We were very sad to leave after a truly amazing week long stay. Thanks Aroha for making our holiday one we will never forget!!

The restaurant is outstanding and offers a great breakfast, super lunch and amazing dinner, with stunning ocean views. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Positive: Our stay at Aroha Taveuni was a special experience. Catherine and Rod were excellent hosts, always willing to answer questions and give us advice about what to do and where to go. The staff were wonderful -- friendly and welcoming -- and the meals were superb, cooked by the very talented chef Chris. The bures too were very well designed, comfortable and spacious with easy access to the beach and an incredible view over the Somosomo Strait -- the sunsets! We did a number of excursions from Aroha -- birdwatching, a visit to Bobbi's farm, the Lavena coastal walk, and snorkelling on the Rainbow reef -- which were all exceptional. Taveuni is truly the garden island of Fiji.

Positive: Aroha is a gorgeous property, there are only 5 bures and the landscaping is impeccably kept, the pool super clean, it's quiet and relaxing. Our stay already started off amazing by the resort's owner Rod picking you up from the tiny airport after an amazing flight with the best vistas below. We had our 25 year old daughter with us and were assigned a double-guestroom that was clean, quite large and exceeded our expectations. There was even a small kitchen area with a fridge and some basic essentials, like a water cooker, glasses, etc. The outdoor shower was our favorite, the beds spacious and comfy. We looked forward every single day to our breakfast outside in the beautiful restaurant on the resort. The lunch menu is extensive and the dinner menu rotates daily with delicious choices. The owners Rod and Kathryn really take great care of their guests and made plenty of arrangements for sightseeing, taxis and massages. Aroha Resort is simply wonderful, and we could not have been more pleased with this amazing find.
