Positive: Good location a 10 minute walk from the main square. The pool and outdoor loungers were very pleasant, especially as we had the soace to ourselves.

Summary: Good village location, nice restaurants, lovely pool and convenient for visiting Knossos.

Positive: Excellent and easy communication with hosts. Centrally located. Pool and lounge area much appreciated. Finding an iron was a bonus!

Negative: I should have asked for extra towels or to exchange half way through our trip.

Positive: This apartment (C) was clean and quiet. It was wonderfully decorated and kept its old world charm. I definitely recommend seeing this apartment as it is a very cool looking place. It's just less efficient and less comfortable as other places we stayed during this trip.

Negative: While the apartment kept its old world charm, it was very uncomfortable for us in our late 50s. The living room was well decorated and all the furnishings looked like they belonged there. Unfortunately, they are not comfortable. The bed itself is very hard. if you prefer a hard mattress, then you will appreciate it. We just don't and this review asked me what I did not like. As for driving, be prepared for very narrow streets thru the town to get to the apartment. this is NOT a knock on the apartment, but something to be prepared for. You can walk to the town where the restaurants are located but know that the walk is all downhill to the restaurants and all uphill back which could be difficult for some. do some research on the physical location to better understand the topography and whether you can negotiate the hills.

Positive: We could access our keys via a locker. Communication with the host was excellent. There was a small problem, which was solved promptly. There were several restaurants on 10 minutes walking distance. Parking at the side of the street. Quiet neighborhood.

Negative: Shower would become cold when 3 people showered shortly after one another. The sleep couch was not very comfortable.

Positive: Location was terrific in the mountains. Arriving at night and not knowing exactly where we were….what a surprise with the view from the balcony in the morning. Town has some fabulous restaurants. Walking distance to main square. Comfortable stay. Easy to get to other locations with private transport. Hosts were very good to us, arriving late with a few questions. Totally recommend.
