Positive: We really enjoyed our stay - the Silver Birch cabin was clean, comfortable and very spacious. Fabulous hot tub with views of the trees. It felt very private and secluded, and it was very quiet. Staff were very friendly and we enjoyed the coffee and cake in the cafe. Great walks from the site, which our dog really enjoyed.

Negative: Some of the lodges needed a bit of work on their exterior.

Positive: We had the most wonderful stay at Ardgartan Argyll Cabins – it truly felt like a hidden gem tucked away in nature’s embrace. The setting is breathtaking, with majestic mountains, a peaceful loch, and forest all around. Every morning felt like waking up in a postcard. Our cabin was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully equipped – the private hot tub with that view? Unbeatable. We loved how private and peaceful everything felt, while still having helpful staff nearby when needed.

Positive: from the first point of contact to the last, the staff were friendly and helpful. the lodge was pet friendly and you wouldnt even of known. place was smelling great and looked pristine. hot tub was well maintained as was all the grounds and the beach. any staff we bumped into were happy to chat with our 4 yr old son and play with our 6month old puppies. couldnt of asked for more.

Negative: nothing to be honest. we even got a takeaway delivered to the lodge, spot on. no complaints!!!

Positive: All staff were brilliant. Andy the ranger was extremely knowledgeable when we went on the wildlife wonders tour with his wee dog Ness who was absolutely adorable and made the experience even better.

Negative: It would have been helpful to have 2 sets of keys for a group of five adults instead of having to leave them at reception. Also, reception was closed at 8.30pm so not ideal. It would have been more useful to.have a laminated sheet of information and contact numbers in the cabin instead of relying solely on scanning QR code especially for less tech savvy folks.

Summary: We loved it and would definitely use Forrest Holidays again. It was good value for money for 4 nigh
