Positive: Met by the owner, delightful lady who had baked a cake! Perfect location in middle of village

Negative: Sofa was in keeping with the cottage feel, however, it was very low and not the comfiest. Stairs quite steep, not suitable for anyone with mobility issues

Positive: This little cottage was perfect for our needs 3 friends meeting up to do lots of walking in the Peaks. It was spotlessly clean, the sitting room is cosy with a lovely open fire. The location is excellent. I love the village of Youlegreave because there's so much to do there. You don't even need a car if you stay here because there's plenty right on your doorstep.

Negative: My friend who stayed in the smaller room said the bed in there was uncomfortable and she couldn't sleep well. To be fair this might be because it's a childs bed.

Summary: Fantastic location you don't need to drive anywhere once you're in Youlegreave

Positive: We loved the stay, and enjoyed many full-day walks, with interesting destination in all directions, with Chatsworth house and Curbar Edge being particular highlights. The living room had a cosy fireplace that was great while relaxing with a movie (they had Harvey on DVD which I had wanted to see for years!)

Negative: Not too much to do in Youlgreave itself for a longer stay (it does have a couple of pubs/restaurants though), so I would only stay here if plan was to be out of the village most of the time.

Positive: Lovely cottage in a beautiful village. Owners lived next door & quickly dealt with any issues we had including the central heating.We would highly recommend this cottage & the owners were very pleasant & friendly.
