Positive: What a fantastic, well equipped, spacious apartment located in a lovely, friendly town. The facilities were great, and the owner/hosts were so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The location was superb, about a 25 minute walk to the old town but right on the beach that had crystal clear water and was ideal for swimming and snorkelling. Easy to access Palmero and Cefalu by train, although next time we would hire a car to explore even more. It is a perfect spot to recharge and relax with great cafes and restaurants, Casetta Bianca being our family favourite. It is a wonderful apartment in a beautiful country. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Positive: Main positive points were a) the friendly reception by Selene and her professional attitude and rapid responses to all our queries during our stay and also on the final day when we were leaving the villa. b) the location -next to and with private access to the sea/ stony beach- allowed us to go swimming in the sea, and enjoy it without any people around. The rooftop also allowed us to have sunbath in morning until around late afternoon (we were there in early May, and sun would disappear over horizon at 5-6pm) or even enjoy the jacuzzi and outdoor swimming pool. c) beautiful view of sunrise both on terrace of appartment and/ or rooftop. d) Quiet and spacious Location (in May 2024)

Negative: The main drawback we identified were - the too small kitchen, very difficult to cook anything and even preparing small breakfast was not easy. - some doors (main entrance crinching + 2 doors to enter terrace) did not close properly and definitely need to get fixed. In May, with nice "spring" temperatures of 16-23 degrees, it did not create any problem for us directly, but if it's very hot (in summer) or cold (winter), then it could make the experience much less pleasurable. - 1 very big TV screen in living room (+ 2 small TV screens in bedrooms), but remote control did not work properly and accessing programs/ channels such as Netflix and others was all but impossible.. - Furniture and some of equipment in bedrooms and bathrooms are quite old and need to be replaced soon. - Second bedroom (two single beds) is way too small, only about 2x2.5m (5 or max. 6 sqm). - Part of rooftop looked as if work wasn't finished yet. Renovations/ Upgrades of equipment necessary to use Villa to best effect. Negative point is also fact that entrance to the villa requires that you have go walk approximately 600m along a main and at times busy road (SS113) with no sidewalks/ pavements for footpassengers. Therefore, to access the villa without danger to your physical health, you really need to have a car. Also, while villa is only 250m direct distance (distance as the crow flies) from train station, in reality, you have to walk 1,3km again along busy and dangerous street and road with no pavement/ sidewalk for footpassengers.

Summary: Overall, we had a good time in Casteldaccia, but some of equipment need to get renovated.

Positive: Gea (the rentiner ) is very kind and helpful and friendly ... the location is quiet good and not far from the beach ...Gea helped us by early check in and late check out .. the terras is lovely with great view

Negative: Its an apartment not a villa ... there is 4 apartments ... the ground floor iwithout sea view .. the 1 floor is with view ... but the owner refused to give us with sea view (our reservation was with sea view ) ... the pool was not so clean ... The building is not directly on the beach there is anozher one infront of it !

Positive: Spacious, great view, convenient location close to Palermo, yet still very quiet. I do recommend this apartment for those who wish to enjoy Sicily.

Negative: There was an annoying alarm in the house nearby that was on for 30 sec 2-3 times a night.

Positive: Beautiful modern apartment, fully furnished and with a breathtaking view. The apartment has a pool in the front garden and a hot tub on the roof terrace. It also is beside the beach, and walking distance from a couple of nice restaurants and coffee shops. Very quiet spot, famous places like Cefalu' and Monreale are only about 30-40 mins drive. The host was amazingly hospitable and always available to help. He helped us organize our taxi transfer from the airport to the apartment and a wine tasting at a local winery. He also welcomed us with typical Sicilian pastries and left drinks in the fridge for us to enjoy. He even provided toys and floaters for the kids to play in the pool. The house has air conditioning (which is needed during the hot summer months), a dishwasher and a washing machine, which came in very handy. Overall a wonderful stay
