Positive: We loved the spaciousness of this well-equipped cottage and the quiet environment...a great place to relax!

Negative: For us everything was perfect. Someone with mobility problems might have difficulty stepping up onto the deck at the entrance; the location of the recycling area might also be challenging due to the uneven ground.

Positive: Fantastic hospitality, we were met with a bottle of the vineyards Pinot. Gorgeous outlook over the vines. Comfortable and cosy, the kitchen in this rustic cottage was well equipped and the wood burner fire, heat pump and oil heaters kept us nice and warm. Breakfast supplies were a fabulous bonus, thank you.

Negative: It’s a wee way out of town but that’s hardly a negative for the peace and outlook it provides.

Summary: Judge Rock is a great place to get away from it all, close to Railtrail and perfect for small groups, couples or family.

Positive: Lovely, cosy accommodation amongst the vineyard area of Alexandra. A perfect base for three nights to explore the Central Otago region. Exemplary hosts that were able to help with anything that arose. Were there on our arrival with a bottle of wine in hand. Showed us all the amenities and started the fire while chatting about places of interest. Everything you could want was available. Warm beds, plenty of towels. Well stocked kitchen and pantry supplies to provide ample breakfasts and extra staples to help with preparing other meals. Well above expectations!
