The spacious and bright apartment for 2 to 4 guests in a small two-family house from the early 20th Century lies quietly at the foot of the Niederwald in a dead end. It has two bedrooms, a daylight bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a terrace with seating and a large living room with dining area and a wonderful view of the vineyards, the red wine community of Assmannshausen and the Rhine. The famous Rheinsteig trail leads directly past the house, the Niederwald hunting lodge can be reached on foot or with the Assmannshaus chairlift. The village of Assmannshausen invites you to linger with some restaurants and bars. Rüdesheim am Rhein is only about 8 minutes by car from Assmannshausen, trains run every hour, and in the season from Easter to the end of October there are regular excursion boats to the romantic UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley with its multitude of castles and wine villages. In Rüdesheim am Rhein there are just as many restaurants as well as numerous shops and supermarkets.
Guests have their own terrace with furniture and a charcoal grill.

Summary: As soon as we arrived, we were warmly greeted by our landlady. There was a bottle of wine for us when we walked in. The next day a home-made chocolate cake was waiting for us in the landing!! From the living room, there is a beautiful view of the vineuards. You can also see the Rhein river from the left window. Both bedrooms were comfortable and there was a nice balcony off of the master. The kitchen and bathroom were updated and clean. I would stay here again!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay in this nice apartment located in a beautiful area of the Rhine valley. The location was perfect... a small village near the busy tourist town of Rudesheim, but without the crowds, etc. Also a short drive to the ferry and other attractions. The apartment has a great view of nearby vineyards and was equipped with everything needed. Parking was a bit of a challenge, but otherwise pleasant accommodations.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful property. It was clean, comfortable and very pleasant. We had a wonderful welcome from the owner's mum, who lived in the apartment below the property. Nothing was too much trouble, we even enjoyed some wonderful home-baked cakes! The area around the property is most beautiful. We are keen walkers and there are some amazing walks in the area from very easy to challenging. We spent quite a bit of time in lovely nearby Rüdesheim, but were also pleasantly surprised at Assmannshausen itself where we found a baker, a butcher and some nice restaurants. We can certainly recommend this property to anyone.

Summary: We arrive at this apartment early evening.parking was outside of the property on a hill.The apartment was spotless and well furnished. Looking out onto vineyards and to the left views of the Rheine. Frederick the owner of the property was wonderful and welcoming.We would recommend this property to anyone. Summary: This apartment is beautifully decorated and shows great attention to detail. The owner is very responsive. The view is impressive over the vineyards and river area and the patio is peaceful. We also enjoyed the Board games and the coffee supplied. It really was much more than we expected. As Americans, we were shocked by the incline of the hills to access the apartment (more steep than San Francisco) and in July in that part of the country the second floor was quite hot and uncomfortable at times (this of course we should have expected) without air conditioning or fans. Breezes at night were lovely and welcome. All in all the apartment was just fantastic. Oh! The towels! They were more luxurious than the ones we use at home. All in all a fantastic trip with perfect access to the Pier for catching a River Cruise. Thank you, Alexandra! We appreciate you and your family. We will definitely recommend!

Summary: Our stay there was perfect. Views from the windows to vineyards are breathtaking. During the stay we didn't encounter any problem. I would recommend it to anybody who would like to have a pleasant and calm stay.
