Ideal to visit the city walking, being located just minutes from all points of tourist and cultural attractions, as well as Wet Quarter, famous wines and tapas area. Apartment very careful, comfortable and cozy, fully equipped. Easy access to main routes into the city. About 15 minutes walk from the bus and train. There are all kinds of shops in the near surroundings.

Summary: Ana’s apartment was clean and cozy, with plenty of room for three adults and two children. Having the washing machine and drying racks was a huge plus for us. The building is in a great location, near lots of cafeterías, restaurants, and shops, it’s easy walking distance from the old part of the city, and there’s a grocery store with very friendly and helpful employees just around the corner. The neighbors in the building were also quite friendly and very patient with our faltering Spanish. There can be a little street noise, especially on the weekends, but we had no trouble sleeping because the window coverings insulated us from almost all of it, and the noise never continued very late into the evening. Ana was very responsive when we had questions. For example, I found the Spanish recycling system quite confusing, and I couldn’t figure out how to take out the trash. I messaged Ana, and she responded very quickly and helped me understand what to do. (Incidentally, once I learned about the recycling system, I was very impressed. They recycle so much more in Spain than I can in the U.S., and it’s so easy once you crack the code.) And I second other reviewers’ recommendations to visit the Picos de Europa national park. It wasn’t a very long drive to get there from León, and the hiking was so incredible it was completely worth it. León was an ideal jumping-off point for all of our adventures northern Spain, and Ana’s place was a great place to stay. I would definitely love to stay at Ana’s place again if I get back to León.

Summary: The apartment is comfortable and well furnished. All kitchen utensils,cooking facilities and shower are in good working order. The location is very good and close to shops and bus station. However there is a major problem in entering the building. The key to the building does not work and often we had to wait until people were coming out in order for us to get in. This is not acceptable. The neighbourhood is not quiet as advertised. There is a Rock club opposite and teenagers often congregate outside the building sitting on the doorstep.

Summary: We rented this apartment from Ana as a base to use while visiting our son and his friend in Leon. We are from the USA. Our son loves Spain, but as an American he misses American breakfasts! We were able to make great use of Ana's well provisioned kitchen to provide homemade breakfast to our son and his American friend each morning prior to departing on our many adventures in Northern Spain. The apartment met all of our needs, was clean, and comfortable. Thank you, Ana! P.S. For nature lovers, the Picos de Europa are not to be missed. We had one of the loveliest hiking days of our lives traversing around the glacial lakes there.

Summary: A great place to stay in Leon. It's spacious and in a quiet residential neighborhood just minutes away from the old town. The kitchen is well equipped. The owner is particularly gracious and flexible. She was able to adjust my arrival date without any charge, and did not expect any payment until I was in Leon.
