Summary: Lots of little things to give this one a lower rating starting with getting the keys. We didn’t know we had to go into the next town Rapallo to meet the property managers to get the keys so we were inconvenienced. The place needs a little TLC to bring it up to what we believe is a VRBO minimum standard. We went to use the oven and it popped the electrical breaker so I knew enough to flip the breaker on and we did it again but stopped after 3 attempts. 3 of the 4 gas burners didn’t stay lit after we ignited so we call the property manager who got someone there 48 hours later. We got the accommodation so we could cook inside the apartment so this was a disappointment. After they supposedly fixed both appliances, 2 of the 4 gas burners still didn’t stay lit but we didn’t bother calling them. Make matters worse on last day the dishwasher and oven weren’t working. There is a lack of cooking utensils etc They were installing an elevator in the building so lots of knocking and drilling etc during the day which we were not told was going on. All in all not the best experience BUT Fantastic area to be in. We were in the centre of it all

Summary: This property is managed by a company based in Rapallo and not very well. When I arrived the dishes were not clean and the kitchen was very difficult to use with poor appliances and outlets. We did not order linen service because we had our own sheets and towels but I quickly realized there was no bath mat and this was dangerous for our stay so I inquired about renting one from the management. Not only did they ignore these messages... But they continued to ignore my messages throughout the rest of our stay. Santa Margherita is a beautiful place... But next time I definitely plan to stay in a property managed by the owner.
