Ground floor apartment with a private courtyard and a small flower garden overlooking the Lauch River and Little Venice.
DESCRIPTION OF THE APARTMENT:
from the entrance, give on the right the bedroom (queen-size bed 160 cm) and the bathroom (bath, WC, washing machine). To the left, a first living room with TV and glass view of the courtyard, then, after three steps, a second living room with an armchair convertible into a very good single bed (80 cm), library and internet connection (cable or Wifi) and finally, in continuity, a well-appointed separate kitchen (fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher).
Direct access to the courtyard equipped with garden furniture, by the entrance or by the kitchen.
The apartment is planned for 2 to 3 people (A double bed and an extra bed for 1 person). It is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
Cleaning service offered at the end of the stay for 40 euros.
All shops, covered market, caterers, restaurants nearby.
Sheets, pillowcases, towels, kitchen towels, vacuum cleaner, cleaning and washing products (dishwasher + washing machine) are provided as well as a small "grocery store" for troubleshooting.

Summary: Brigitte and Christian are exceptionally kind and attentive hosts, and they made this one of the most memorable stays of our trip to France. They have great pride in this home, which is very well equipped and updated, but still has elements that let you know you are staying in a house built long ago. We loved the location and the neighborhood! It was a very convenient walk to all the sights of Colmar and just a kilometer's walk to the train station for side trips. There are plenty of restaurants just steps away, but we enjoyed (and now miss) the short walk to the nearby farmer's market to pick up options for breakfast and sometimes for lunch. We also enjoyed watching the ducks outside the kitchen window and patio. Had the weather allowed, we would have spent a lot of time sitting outside and enjoying the amazing seclusion of this spot in what is a very busy area of the town. Thank you Brigitte and Christian.

Summary: This is a beautiful rental in the heart of La Petite Venise. It's an easy walk to shops and restaurants. The apartment is very spacious, comfortable, and well furnished. Possibly my favorite part is the view of the canal, and people watching. We look forward to returning!

Summary: Brigitte and Christian were ideal hosts even providing transport from the train station. The gite is located ideally in Little Venice backing up on the River Lauch and literally around the corner from the bridge. The centre city is within easy walking distance. There are many restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Be aware that as a gite not all necessary supplies are available and the tub has very high sides. However, the accommodations are very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this accommodation.

Summary: Maison Bleue feels like a home away from home. Everything is exactly as you see in the listing, very clean very comfortable, very charming! The location is superb and how nice it was to be on the ground floor with no stairs! I especially enjoyed opening up the kitchen window to watch the small boats, ducks and beautiful swan go by. Christian and Brigitte are most gracious hosts, offering to pick you up and deliver you back to the train station. And the gift basket of goodies they provided was such a nice surprise! We treasure our memories of Christian, Brigitte and Maison Bleue!

Summary: We came to Colmar after a vacation in Paris. Bridgette and Christian met us at the train and drove us to our lovely rental. It was adorable. Location was perfect to explore this wonderful town. Everything was as listed. The home is unique with all the furnishings that are perfect for this style of house. Summary: We stayed 4 nights and we can highly recommend this apartment. The location is perfect to explore the old town. Just a 10 minute walk from the train station but Brigitte and Christian so kindly picked us up from the train station on arrival and took us back on departure. We felt so comfortable staying there. Everything was sparkling clean on arrival. We particularly enjoyed the garden area in the quiet of the mornings and then later in the day.
