Positive: Stunning WENGEN is a car-free village. It can only be reached by train from Interlaken East. It is better to arrive with as little luggage because the train is crowded and also because the walk from the train station to the apartment is quite steep and takes about ten minutes. The apartment is very nice and cozy. You can stay there for a week without any problem. Next to it is a small garden where you can sit. The kitchen is excellently equipped. From my bedroom window there was an amazing view of a waterfall from the mountain range opposite - between us was the Lautenbrunnen valley, perhaps the most beautiful in Switzerland. The access road to the apartment turns into several alternatives of mountain hiking trails as we continue up the mountain. A short distance away in the village is a gondola that goes up to Männlichen, from where you can go on further hikes, or continue to Grindelwald. WENGEN is an excellent starting point for mountain hikes, both to the Lautenbrunnen valley and to the nearby mountains. I thought it was worth saying a few words about transportation and costs: WENGEN is a car-free village. Anyone who wants to take advantage of it for trips in the Jungfrau region doesn't need a car, but it's a good idea to purchase the JUNGFRAU TRAVEL PASS. It's expensive, but it gives you free use of public transportation and lifts. I combined it with the SWISS HALF FARE CARD and saved a lot. Switzerland is a very expensive country. A meal in a restaurant can easily cost around 60-70 francs per person. Renting an apartment with a kitchen allows you to reduce costs significantly. The village has shops at reasonable prices and you can buy excellent products there.
Negative: The mattresses were quite thin. The bunk bed in the second bedroom was cramped - suitable for children, but a little too cramped for adults.
Summary: A pleasant place in a beautiful village - I would love to return.

Positive: It was just perfect. Very well equipped. Clean. The staff at Resident Brunner hotel were lovely as well - very kindly looked after our bags as we arrived early and left late.
