Positive: It was cool downstairs and it had about everything we needed in the little kitchen area. Pots and dishes were nice and clean. The owner was nice and helpful. We had one smoker with us but it was not practical for her to use the balcony as her smoke would go to bedroom two. The seating space outside of the house was therefore ideal for smokers and non smokers. There were lovely walking trails around. The small issues raised below did not affect our stay and we had a lovely time.

Negative: The property was smaller than we imagined. Both bedrooms were upstairs and the toilet was down the steep stairs which is not great for those with mobility issues. Cleaning was good on surface but in places it needed more attention. Some repairs needed: draw and door in bedroom one does not sit properly in its hinges, toilet seat cover kept falling off. Water can be extremely hot. The location is close to a train line which together with a road created noticeable noise with the window open. The property would need some investment to bring it up to a hotel standard - one recommended investment would be to get a proper light duvet, pillows with 100% cotton covers and a good quality mattress (bedroom at the back). I would also get rid of dusty plastic flowers in the bedroom. Also I did find it strange to be charged for a parking 50kc a day - I have never been charged before when staying anywhere and I don’t like any hidden costs and charges.
