Positive: Excellent location for transport, local sights, marina and eateries. Indoor pool available with sauna & jacuzzi. Lovely view from top floor breakfast room with live pianist and wide range of breakfast options including local specialities. Had kettle and fridge in room, which is a necessity.
Negative: Expensive relative to other local hotels but excellent balcony view.
Summary: Unbeatable central location, excellent breakfast.

Positive: Location couldn't have been better. Breakfast amazing, included a variety of delicious fresh fruits every morning, also a chef cooking eggs on request,. Staff really helpful and friendly..
Negative: Outside pool closed for renovations but only found this out on check in. Luckily it didn't spoil things for us as we discovered so many things to do in Faro we wouldn't have used it much anyway.

Negative: As close to airport (convenience a reason for choosing) frequent aircraft noise as under flight path. Swimming pool very small, probably preferable to just have larger sauna with showers and rest areas instead
