Positive: Our stay was very comfortable. Keep in mind this is a sparse, monastery type location. The simplicity and beauty of the property was perfect for us. The mountain setting in the fall made for a colorful autumn tour. The town was charming as we were lucky enough to stumble upon a lively chestnut roasting festival.

Negative: There really wasn't anything we didn't like. The breakfast served was a simple grilled cheese and ham sandwich with good coffee. For some this may not be enough. For us it was warm and acceptable. A thought would be to bring extra food if you like hearty meals. It is a great spot for a picnic.

Positive: Secluded mountainside retreat with lots of character. If you want peace and quiet, great views and no crowds, this is the place to stay. Excellent breakfast provided by Maurizio.

Negative: There is no evening dining so plan ahead. Once there, you will mot want to travel back to Garessio to find food as it's quite a challenging trip, particularly in the dark.
